HOW EATING HEART HEALTHY PROTEIN CAN HELP YOU GROW LEAN MUSCLE

HOW EATING HEART HEALTHY PROTEIN CAN HELP YOU GROW LEAN MUSCLE

Protein plays a vital role in developing lean muscle. It helps to create the building blocks for lean and calorie-burning muscles. Protein has a variety of textures, shapes, and tastes. For instance, the protein from fish tastes and has a different texture to the protein from nuts. Hence, having a proper understanding of how each protein affects our bodies will give us a glimpse of how they help to build lean muscle.

In this post, we will take a quick look and heart-healthy protein and how it helps in the development of lean muscle.

PROTEINS COME IN VARIOUS TEXTURES AND SHAPES

Our bodies rely on the amino acids that they extract from the proteins we eat to build body tissue and muscle. Studies indicate that the human body needs about twenty amino acids and the good news is that it can synthesize 11 of them.

However, the remaining 9 amino acids can only be gotten from food, hence, the reason why these amino acids are often referred to as “essential amino acids”. Proteins that contain these essential amino acids are often called complete proteins.

Typically, protein can be extracted from two sources, namely  plant and animals, and here’s how they affect the development of lean muscles:

  •       ANIMAL MEALS: Foods derived from animals, such as dairy, fish, and meat contain every essential amino acid. Hence, the reason why these types of meat-based meals are often referred to as a complete protein. Although some athletes opt for other lean muscle developing alternatives like purchasing Anavar from reliable online stores such as Getanabol, consuming complete protein from meat is also a great way to achieve the same result. However, the problem with consuming too much meat is that it is not good for the heart. The reason is that they often contain saturated fat which surges the blood levels of triglycerides and cholesterol.
  •       PLANTS MEALS: Although plant proteins contain extremely low levels of saturated fat, they are usually not referred to as complete proteins because they don’t contain every essential amino acid. However, if you are looking to keep your heart healthy while developing lean muscles, you will need to get most of your protein from plants like soybeans, and beans.

THE PERFECT HEART HEALTHY PROTEIN TO HELP YOU DEVELOP LEAN MUSCLES

The good news for all veggies and meat lovers is that they can find a variety of heart-healthy proteins to pick from.

Here are a few examples:

  •       Shellfish and Fish
  •       Chuck, loin, or ground lean beef.
  •       Venison, Wild duck, rabbit, or any other wild game that is low in saturated fat.
  •       Either Loin or tenderloin chop from lean pork.
  •       Eggs.

BOTTOM LINE

Incomplete proteins are more heart-healthy than complete proteins despite containing fewer essential amino acids. However, consuming an incomplete protein combination will have similar effects when building lean muscles as complete proteins. The best part of consuming the right mix of incomplete proteins is that you keep your heart healthy while building lean muscles.
